I studied history at college. Most of it focused on areas a lot of people don't care about. I hate politics, yet I am drawn into debates. The economy intrigues and mystifies me. I want to go green and am trying. I read a lot, check out librarything.com. I am writing short stories and hope some day to be published. I like cats AND dogs. I only wear boxer briefs. What else. Oh, I love my Volvo and yes it gets good mileage for being eight years old.

Sure, I am always open to new friends. And I'm not usually as hostile towards Americans as the Faux News bit made me of late. I have a kind of love-hate relationship with the USA: honestly love a lot of things about American culture and history; honestyly hate a lot of what America has done in the world. I also have two brothers, two sisters-in-law, six nieces and nephews and a host of good friends who are Americans, both stateside and here in Canada.
Julie married a Pakistani co-worker and moved back stateside to start their family, She still free lances. I was scared to death when she was TDY................glad she is here now!
